Having achieved his degree at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, Martin joined Marshall of Cambridge (Engineering) Ltd as a Management Trainee in 1975. Following his work as Manufacturing Project Manager for the conversion of C-130 Tanker/Receiver aircraft during the Falklands, and as Production Programme Manager for the Strategic Tanker conversion of RAF L-1011, he became Chief Project Manager for the Company in 1987 and was appointed as a Director of the Company in charge of Production in 1992. In 1995 Martin was heavily involved in developing new business as Director of Support Business and Development before being appointed as Managing Director in 1996 and Chief Executive in 1999.

Martin is also a Director of Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Ltd, and he is the current Chairman of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Connexions Partnership. Martin was also Treasurer of the Society of British Aerospace Companies Council from 2002 to 2005. He was awarded the O.B.E. in 2004 for services to the Aerospace Industry.
Grahame Nix
Deputy MD/Head of Operational Support Services

Grahame gained his degree at Plymouth and joined Marshall of Cambridge (Engineering) as a Graduate Management Trainee in 1980. In 1983 he was appointed C-130 Project Manager and during the 80’s Grahame managed a number of civil and military projects. In 1992 he moved back into operations as General Manager of the Manufacturing Division and in 1995 was appointed a Director of Marshall Aerospace with overall responsibility for Production. In 2000 he was appointed as Deputy Managing Director and more recently led the company’s proposal as prime contractor for the £1.52Bn Hercules Integrated Operational Support (HIOS) programme for the RAF’s C-130 Hercules fleet. Grahame was appointed Head of Operational Support Services in 2009, and is also Chairman of Aeropeople.

Grahame was President of the East Midlands and Mid Anglian Association (EMMA) of the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) from 2003 to 2006 and is now Vice President. He is also a member of the EEF Council and is Deputy Chairman of the SBAC People Management Board and a School Governor.
Neal Jennion
Operations Director

Neal graduated from the University of Salford with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and joined Marshall Aerospace in 1989 as a Management Trainee. Neal progressed through the aircraft modification and maintenance (production) areas with extended periods in production planning, project management and more recently production support. In 2007, Neal was appointed as a Director of Marshall Aerospace with overall responsibility for production and was subsequently appointed as Operations Director in 2009 with his responsibilities extended to include the company’s manufacturing activities.

Neal is married with two children and outside work his interests include playing for and helping to run a local Sunday league football team, skiing and tennis. Neal is also a member of the ADS MRO & Logistics network group and vice-Chair of Governors for a local state funded primary school.
Brian Phillipson
Director of Engineering

Brian Phillipson joined Marshall Aerospace in June 2009 from Munich, where he had been Chief Operating Officer on the multinational Eurofighter Typhoon programme. A Cambridge Engineering Graduate, Brian spent the early part of his career working at British Aircraft Corporation Warton on Combat / Training aircraft including Eurofighter, Jaguar, Tornado, Harrier/AV8, Hawk/Goshawk, and Canberra. His roles included Engineering, Manufacturing, and Programme / General Management.

After attending the Royal College of Defence Studies in1994, Brian was Director of Strategy and Planning in British Aerospace Headquarters, then moved to Munich as Managing Director of Eurofighter GmbH.
Between 1999 and 2004 Brian worked in the Naval world, becoming Group Managing Director - Sea Systems, with responsibility for all aspects of BAE Systems’ UK businesses dealing with surface ships, submarines, and underwater weapons.
Brian is married with four adult children, and enjoys the delights of the Alps whenever he can – skiing in winter, walking in summer.
Glen Clark
Financial Director

Glen trained as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in Cambridge having completed a degree in Accountancy at the University of Birmingham. Specialising in the larger manufacturing clients of Ernst & Young eventually led him to head up the audit team at Marshall Aerospace. In 1992, following some restructuring of the Marshall Group, Glen was asked to join the team as Management Accountant and was later appointed to the Board in 1994.

During his time at Marshall he has been involved with a number of Group Companies and now heads up the Finance function along with IT and takes the lead in any corporate acquisition activity and foreign subsidiary formation. He is also a Pension Trustee of two Marshall pension schemes.

In his spare time he tries to maintain fitness by cycling, and walking in the countryside with his dog. He has a keen interest in music and audio recording and has recently recommenced some amateur thespian activity.
Keith Hussey
Head of Human Resources

Keith began his career in the RAF and was commissioned in the mid-80s when he worked on a range of personnel related projects. In 1995, following his final role as a Project Manager within the RAF’s Market Testing Team, he joined Bombardier Defence Services providing HR input to a range of bids for UK and International outsourced contracts. During this time Keith was part of the team that successfully secured the RAF’s Pathfinder PFI contract. Formerly Head of HR for VT Aerospace (part of the VT Group), Keith was then appointed as Head of Contract Support - in this role he had responsibility for leading a cross-functional team in support of a variety of contracts across the whole of the UK, Germany and the Middle East.

Following a sabbatical, when he travelled extensively, Keith joined Marshall Aerospace in March 2005. Keith’s interests include golf, football (he is a lifelong supporter of Liverpool FC), international travel and skiing. He is a member of the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) National Employment Policy Committee.
